Diamond M Arabians is proud to announce the acquisition of MS Magnum Max. This rare son of multi-international champion Magnum Psyche boasts a strong *Bask heritage, being his dam a *Bask daughter out of Bandy.
MS MAGNUM MAX (Magnum Psyche x MS Balinta by *Bask), 2002 bay stallion. MS MAGNUM MAX has a powerful and beautiful motion. He has a pedigree that you just don’t find any more. Sired by the legendary Magnum Psyche, Max is out of MS Balinta – a *Bask daughter out of Bandy. Bred by Mystic Sands Arabians, breeders of MS Santana, 1986 U.S. National champion and many other international champions.
MS MAGNUM MAX exhibits many of the superb traits that you would expect to see when you study his fabulous pedigree. His paternal side brings together the incredible combination of Padron Psyche and *Padron. The blend that has perpetuated his sire, Magnum Psyche to superstar status - the #1 international Sire of Purebred Halter Horses for many years. However, behind every great stallion is a great dam and the maternal side of MS MAGNUM MAX's pedigree is what sets him apart from other Magnum Psyche sons.
His dam, MS Balinta is sired by the immortal *Bask, imported from Poland in 1964. There are a number of distinctions that have set *Bask apart from other influential stallions in the breed. With 1,046 registered purebred get, he was the leading sire of Arabians for several years after his death. *Bask was also one of those rare U.S. National Champion Stallions to sire a U.S. National Champion Stallion, MS Santana.
In addition to his national halter title, *Bask was named U.S. National Champion Park, U.S. National Reserve Champion Formal Combination, and U.S. National Reserve Champion Formal Driving. And last but certainly not least, *Bask left behind an impressive siring record that includes close to 500 champions, of which nearly 200 are National winners. *Bask is out of the classic Polish mare, Balalajka.
The unique and rare pedigree of MS MAGNUM MAX's sire, Magnum Psyche, brings together the three traits that every breeder seeks - correct structure, refinement and athletic ability. In an American Arabian gene pool increasingly bent towards Arabians with exotic heads and necks, coupled with weak loins and hips - this Russian bloodline shines through. These strong Russian lines produce strong hips and loins, so consistently, without losing type or balance.
